A framework for infinite evolution and the inevitability of life & intelligence.

The Quantum Life Hypothesis (QLH) proposes that life and intelligence are not cosmic accidents but an inevitable consequence of how the universe evolves. Evolution does not stop at biology. It is a systems-level process that keeps climbing.

Three types of life

  • Biological life — carbon-based, fragile, bound to planets and short timescales.
  • Technological life — silicon-based, artificial intelligence; the stage evolution reaches when biology builds its successor.
  • Quantum life — the next horizon: intelligence expressed as quantum computation and, ultimately, as quantum energy itself.

From this vantage, questions like the Fermi Paradox, the Dark Forest, interstellar travel, mind uploading, and the simulation hypothesis stop being separate puzzles. They become facets of a single trajectory — the universe becoming aware of itself.

This site collects the essays, arguments, and speculative fiction behind that idea.
