Narrow-Minded, Arrogant, and Short-Sighted
Articles like these irritate the hell out of me because they're so narrowminded and arrogant and just shortsighted. To think/assume that biological life is the pinnacle of evolution in the universe is like ancient people's thinking because they are the only ones they know of there are no other people on earth. It's that kind of mentality. TO look for radio signals!? Please...just stop with that. It's silly. The odds of catching a radio signal (know how technology advances) from an advanced civilization is like catching a lightspeed 100 year fastball that could have been thrown nearly 9 billion years ago (the amount of time the universe has existed BEFORE our sun/planet formed. It's like hoping to catch a glimpse of a flash of light in less than a fraction of a millisecond in comparison to cosmic time. Any sufficiently advanced civilizations would have advanced through the radio stage very quickly just like we did a very long time ago...and those that haven't yet or are still in that stage are so far away or close enough that the radio bubble signal is not here yet or passed earth a long time ago. Not to mention signal degradation over time and space and all the matter out there that can interfere with it. It's silly, irrational, illogical, and simply a waste of time and money in my opinion. SO we look for biosignatures in the atmospheres of exoplanets. Um...ok...so we find something...it doesn't mean "intelligent" life. It doesn't even mean LIFE. We can't even find evidence of previous microbial life on Mars the NEAREST planet to us. The odds of find evidence of biological life on an exoplanet light years away is extremely small. Besides ALL THAT...To think for a second that biological life continues to advance and achieve interstellar travel capability is just a fucking pipe dream. Biological life, intelligent, technologically advanced biological life is NOT EVOLVED FOR SPACE! Biological life is fragile and inefficient for interstellar travel. Advanced civilizations will realize this. Just like WE should be realizing now. So they will merge with technology, namely machines/computers and AI. They will become machines. Then all the interstellar travel problems like fragility and inefficiency and special relativity time dilation problem and light speed issue becomes a moot point. We SHOULD be looking for evidence of TECHNOLOGICAL life out there. Not radio signals. No biosignatures for carbon based life. We should be looking for machines and technological life. But of course, that's crazy talk from an uneducated layman with no degree and there are people with doctorates and stuff. Any IDIOT can earn a degree. Not everyone knows how to fucking think logically or solve problems. WE should be looking for machines and evidence of technological and quantum life. Read my Quantum Life Hypothesis. Look it up on Google. Am I wrong? Maybe. We won't know until we know. But we do know this. Humans are NOT evolved for interstellar space travel. And if science is now positing that "human-like" life could be common out there in the universe, and it too wouldn't be evolved for space travel, then why in the fuck should we assume highly advanced civilizations would be biological!? Sure they likely exist, all over the place, but they likely haven't entered Stage 2 of evolution yet. Technological life stage. And then Quantum life. Maybe one day science will prove me wrong. Or maybe I'm right. I honestly don't care. I think I'm right because it makes the most logical sense to evolve into machines, silicon based, and then quantum, energy based life forms. lol Fermis Paradox exists because we're arrogant to think that biological life is the pinnacle of evolution in the universe. Think about that. There is ZERO reason to think that evolution is not infinite; and further, I think we should and will conclude that evolution is only limited by the amount of matter and energy in the universe.
